SEATON residents have criticised the town council for failing to update its website.
At a meeting on Monday, residents called for better communication in general. Resident Elga Mackie asked why agendas were not put on the website in accordance with requirements. She said: "Do councillors recognise that there are communication issues?"
Carol Manley added: "Are councillors aware that the current system makes it very difficult to track through minutes and agendas where decisions are being made and if they are therefore legal?"
Town clerk David Mears told the Midweek Herald there was no legal requirement to have a website and certain commitments sometimes made it difficult to update.
He added: "However, we are always looking at ways to improve these things.
