MUSBURY Primary School pupils have visited the Houses of Parliament to gain insight into the political system.
The Year Five and Six children were given a tour around each chamber. The children were later visited by MP Hugo Swire, who praised the school for its work.
Head teacher Clive Salmon said: "As the news is often discussed at school and as we will be looking at our political system because of the forthcoming general election, we thought it was important to give the pupils and insight into the workings of the House of Commons and the House of Lords."
The children also took part in an election and voting workshop and learned how to prepare a manifesto to present to their consituents.
