THE Axminster Probus Club was visited by genealogist Mary Boyd during its meeting this month.She explained the difficulty of research before the arrival of state databases, including into cases of bigamy, illegitimacy and infant mortality - all giving rise to misleading information.For the first time the technology exists for anyone with a computer to do their own research and to prepare a time capsule of their lives and that of their forebears to pass on to future generations.
