A DYING woman's house has been broken into twice in the last week - while she is bed-ridden in hospital.Joan Ebsworth, 88, is suffering from ovarian cancer and has only been given days to live.Jewellery and other items have been stolen from her mobile home, in Talaton Road, Colesworthy - but her family have kept the news from her to save her further trauma.Sister Paula Beabey, 81, said: "I'm absolutely disgusted by it. "I think whoever did this knew she was in hospital and I don't understand how they could do such a thing."Joan hasn't got long to live and is in continuous care. I don't want her to know about this as she's too sick to be worrying. "I can't let her go through any more. It was horrifying to find out somebody had gone through her things, especially as she's ill - I don't know what's wrong with some people."She said it was heart-breaking that things of sentimental value had been taken from her dying sister. Niece Jane Bishop said: "My aunt is such a good woman who has never hurt anyone. "She has been a huge presence in my life and I love her dearly."I hope the slime-balls who did this get their just desserts. I truly believe what goes round comes round.
