The Uplyme and Lyme Regis Horticultural Society are holding a 'brief' AGM at the Uplyme village hall.

Taking place at the Uplyme Village Hall on Wednesday November 23 at 7.30pm followed at 8pm by a talk about Lyme Regis Town Mill.

Millers Steve Frear and John Williams will tell the story of how this working flour mill at the centre of Lyme Regis was brought back to life through a 10-year project, after the local community raised over £500,000 to purchase and restore it.

Volunteers mill stoneground wholemeal flour every day in this medieval watermill. Each batch of grain is carefully processed by millers trained in traditional stoneground milling methods. Wheat, rye and spelt flour are all produced by the mill and flour will be on sale during the evening.

Doors open at 7pm for refreshments. Members free; non-members £3.
