A new camera club has launched in East Devon, giving residents the chance to have their photographs published in the Midweek Herald.

A new Facebook group has launched called Devon Camera Club.

Each week, a theme will be set by one of our journalists and the best pictures posted in our Facebook group will be collected up and featured in the next edition of the Herald.

Last week's theme was sunsets and sunrises. The week before that, we asked for pictures of animals in their natural habitat.

This week's topic is beautiful buildings and monuments. New topics are published in the group every week.

The gallery at the top of this page showcases just some of the stunning pictures we recieved for sunsets and sunrises this week.

Thanks to David Goddard and Sue Badd who snapped these pictures in Exmouth and Sidmouth last week.

In addition to the printed product, the entire Herald is available online through our e-edition service alongside a breaking news service on our website.

The Herald is respected for its balanced reporting and prides itself on being the paper of record for the area.

Sport plays a major role in the newspaper’s success, with unrivalled coverage of football, rugby and cricket, as well as fishing, snooker and bowls – to name a few.

It covers the town of Honiton and the surrounding areas, including Axminster, Seaton, Colyton, Colyford and Feniton.

The Herald is on sale every Wednesday in all good retailers. Budding photographers can go out and buy the papers and see their work published in print.

The new Facebook group is an exciting way for photographers to have their work exposed in print and on the Herald website in news articles and the camera club and we are always on the lookout for new members.

Interested people can join using the link below and keep an eye on any updates each week.
