Seaton Beer and District Branch of the RNLI raised more than £400 in a recent SOS Table Top Sale.

The event took place in the Mariners Hall on Saturday January 26. Organisers have raised £430.85.

There were a variety of stalls and stall holders came from Beer and surronding areas.

The group sold 44 Bacon Baps and the group would like to thank Ian for cooking them and he was assisted by kitchen team, Fe, Lillian and Wendy.

They had our own Raffle, Card Tombola, Bric-a-Brac stalls and RNLI Ted came along to receive donations at the information table.

The group are also assisting at the Grizzly Race Day on Sunday March 5. As in previous years they will be at the Drink Station at Beer Head Caravan Park with Beer Village Heritage.

Additional volunteers will be most welcome to join for all or part of the day. They will be there from 9am to approximately 4pm. Wear suitable clothing as the weather can be cool and bring some refreshments with you.

On Tuesday March 7 it is their Annual General Meeting, (AGM), this year being held at the Congregational Hall, Beer.

The meeting is to start at 7.30pm. The branch of the RNLI was formed in 1967. Community Fundraising Manager Gemma Baker will be attending with news from the RNLI.

Mark Colley the Lifeboat Operations Manager Mark will be attending and talking about Lyme Regis Lifeboat Station and some of their rescues. The group will be reviewing 2022 and looking forward as they proceed through 2023. 

Chairman and vice-chairman are retiring from the fundraising committee at the meetings. Their positions will be available, plus additional Volunteers needed and welcome to join assist events plus volunteer at the shop at Jubilee Gardens, Beer.
