This week, the Honiton Carers have been pottering away at Creative Beings.

The group started off Pottering with Plants with tutor Fiona. We had the usual catch up chat on arrival whilst enjoying a cuppa and a biscuit or two.

This was followed by a walk around the gardens to see what was happening out there, it is amazing the difference in just one month.

They continued walking up to the Eco-Forest to complete some morning exercise. On return they potted variety of seedlings like Tomatoes, Sweet Peas, Basil and more.

They could chose whether to take them home to care for or to leave them at Creative Beings to be looked after until our next visit in March.

Most of the group chose to take them home and will hopefully take some photos as they grow and will share plants later if some are more successful than others.

They finished off by having a lovely Poem read to them about Spring and New Beginnings. Perfect relaxing morning with time for reflection.

Winne Cameron, Devon Carers Ambassador said: "The Art & Craft  session was Gelli Printing with Lisa Parker who showed great patience teaching us all how best to go about this task, Wow it was messy but such great fun.

"Once we got the hang of it, it was incredible what we could do, some of our carers really are naturals, the results were incredible and some have real flair mixing the colours to their best advantage. I am so impressed with the talents all the carers have.

"We are all very much looking forward to visiting Creative Beings in March. We will continue with the Pottering with Plants and the Art & Craft session will be Cardboard Construction with James Lake."
