The main pool at Axminster's Flamingo Pool has re-opened to the public this week.
An official re-opening ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 15 and was well attended including the Liberal Democract MP for Tiverton and Honiton Richard Foord, local press and members of the public.
There was a celebration of the re-opening of The Flamingo Pool after a closure period that saw works that would ensure the pool could serve the community for many years to come.
After 10 weeks closed swimmers of all ages are back in the pool and normal service has been resumed. All customers are excited be back from the early morning swimmers to kids lessons. Its great to have the place buzzing again.
On December 27, the main pool was closed after a leak was found underneath the main pool. The pool has been emptied while repairs were orgainsed.
Throughout the works, the hydrotherapy pool and other services remained open. It was just the main pool which closed to the public.
