A 31-year old motorcyclist from Axminster has died after a collision with a Range Rover on the A358 yesterday (June 28).
Police are investigating the fatal road traffic collision that took place on the A358 Chard Road, Axminster, at the junction with South Common Road.
It took place at around 8.44am.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 31-year-old man from Axminster, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the car was uninjured, and his front seat female passenger sustained slight injuries.
Police closed the road to conduct an examination of the scene. It was reopened at around 4.30pm.
