The A35 will be closed in both directions between Honiton and Axminster for 11 nights, starting today (Wednesday, July 19).
The closure will be in place between 10pm and 6am on weeknights until Thursday, August 3 to allow National Highways to carry out maintenance work.
A diversion will be in place via Chard on the A30 and A358.
The closure will be in place on the following nights:

- Thursday, July 20 - Friday, July 21
- Friday, July 21 - Saturday, July 22
- Monday, July 24 - Tuesday, July 25
- Tuesday, July 25 - Wednesday, July 26
- Wednesday, July 26 - Thursday, July 27
- Thursday, July 27 - Friday, July 28
- Friday, July 28 - Saturday, July 29
- Monday, July 31 - Tuesday, August 1
- Tuesday, August 1 - Wednesday, August 2
- Wednesday, August 2 - Thursday, August 3

In June 2022, work was carried out on the A35 near Axminster to improve visibility for drivers.
This saw new white lining painted on the roads, sign cleaning and the removal of any sign obstructions along the route.
