Mamma Mia! Portuguese Flavour opened at 46 Honiton High Street on Monday (July 17), and owners Elvio and Fatima have been telling the Herald how their first week of trade has been going.

Fatima said: "We have been given a warm welcome by the people of Honiton and have been quite busy this week.

"The first reservation was made by Elly and Bill - thank you to them for sharing that exciting moment with us. We loved meeting you and hope to see you again soon.

"We have been busy throughout the week, with people popping in and out throughout the week to try our breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

"We have always wanted to open our own restaurant, and when we saw the Lacemakers Cafe in Honiton was empty, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to buy the place.

"We have been hard at work re-fitting the building ready for opening on Monday.

"Whether you’re seeking an intimate dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a place to unwind and enjoy exceptional cuisine, we invite you to embark on this culinary journey with us.
