A level students at Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis are celebrating an 'excellent set of examination results achieved this year.'

Many top grades across all subject areas including: Photography, art graphics, and English literature where over 50 per cent of the cohort achieved a grade A*/A.

The Spanish department, along with classical civilisations, religious studies and art had over 70 per cent of students gaining a grade A*/B, while maths, geography, history, media studies, and drama all had over 80 per cent of students gaining a grade A*/C.

Students also performed highly across our BTEC cohorts with six students achieving a distinction in business and travel & tourism, seven a merit in business, travel & tourism and sport, and three a pass in business, travel & tourism and sport.

Head of sixth form Mr Loveland said: "We would like to extend our congratulations to all our wonderful students, it is well deserved. At The Woodroffe School, we are immensely proud of our students, and we wish them the very best for the future.

"We continue to offer our full support and assistance to all students in the coming days and weeks, following the release of the A-Level and Level 3 results today. These have been challenging times and together we succeed.

"Our school has a long track record of academic excellence and this year, despite the challenges, is no different.

"Our students have achieved incredibly well across the full range of A-Level and Level 3 qualifications and will continue to do so within their chosen new destinations. We are amazed by the resilience and perseverance shown by our students."
