The following roads will be closed in East Devon over the next fortnight, and one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A30, from midnight, September 6 to midnight, September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Moor Lane, Exeter to Airport, junction use our network as part of diversion route.

• A35, from 9pm September 7 to 5am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A35 eastbound, Monkton off slip to Tower Cross, junction diversion route.

• M5, from 9pm September 12 to 6am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 29 to junction 30 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• M5, from 9pm September 18 to 6am September 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 exit slip road closure for barrier repair, diversion northbound to junction 28 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
