Drivers in and around East Devon will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A30, from midnight, September 6 to midnight, September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 both directions Moor Lane, Exeter to Airport, junction use our network as part of diversion route.

• M5, from 9am July 18 2022 to 11.59pm August 29 2027, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 28 to 29 hard shoulder closure in both directions for parapet works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Marsh to Rawridge Hill traffic lights for carriageway repairs.

• M5, from 9pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 30 lane closures for surveys.

• M5, from 9pm September 12 to 6am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 29 to junction 30 - lane closure for barrier/fence safety repairs.

• A303, from 8pm September 18 to 6am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 Newcott traffic signals for surveys.

• M5, from 9pm September 18 to 6am September 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 29 exit slip road closure for barrier repair, diversion northbound to junction 28 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
