The Community Waffle House has announced its programme of events, starting from now and running until the end of December. 

On Friday, December 1, they will be hosting an evening of tasting and discussing winter food with Rachel De Thample.

On Friday, December 8, from 7.30pm, it's the second Friday of the month, which means it's open mic night. Turn up before 7.30pm to be able to book a slot.

'For the love of a railway' is up next, this is a free event on Friday, December 9, 'its launch time for the model railway that celebrates the famous Axminster to Lyme Regis branch line.'

From December 13 to 16, Santa will be at the Waffle House all day, every day. 'Visit Santa in his underground grotto and then enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and the full waffle menu.'

A live music event showcasing a 'range of musical items from up-and-coming musicians at Axe Valley Academy' will take place on Friday, December 15 from 7pm.

'Red Stitches' a Honiton-based quartet will host an 'intimate evening of acoustic rock band' at the Waffle House on Friday, December 22 from 7pm.

And finally, a live jazz music evening will take place on Friday, December 29 from 7.30pm. 'Enjoy a night of fusion-inspired improv-heavy instrumental.
