Honiton Carers enjoyed making Bead Bracelets with Vanessa Brown, one of their very own carer on Wednesday (January 10).

Vanessa has been doing beads for years and has the most incredible craft room at her home, she offered to do a session for Honiton Carers which was gratefully accepted. She made up small individual bags of beads, string and a mini magnet and laid it all out on the tables on top of a mat, which stopped the beads from rolling about.

Vanessa, her daughter Tuppence and carer Sue East moved around the tables helping people doing the knots and fastening the magnet to either end, which made it easier to take the bracelet off and put it back on.

The carers loved their bracelets and felt they had achieved something they had never tried previously. Peer Support was very apparent and it was obvious a lot of fun was had by all.

Dee Master also attended the group today, she and Hazel Austin two local craft ladies will be alternatively be ding Craft sessions on 4th Wednesday of each month at the Methodist Church with Honiton Carers. We are all much looking to that.

The first session will be with Dee on Wednesday 24th January when we will be doing Pastels.
