Caroline Kolek has been appointed as Honiton's new deputy town crier, to work alongside town crier Dave Retter.
Caroline Kolek has recently been approved for the new volunteer role of Deputy Town Crier, to work alongside and learn from the present Town Crier, Dave Retter, at several public events in the town like Hot Pennies and Charter Day.
Following her appointment Caroline made the following statement: “I am delighted to be announced as Deputy Town Crier following the selection process. I
“ have worked with our Town Crier, Dave Retter for a number of years as a Town Councillor, previous Mayor and through the Twinning Association.
"It is always an honour to work with Dave who is so passionate about our town, his role as Town Crier and all things ceremonial, cultural and historical regarding Honiton. For anyone following his footsteps he will be a tough act to follow.”
