Post 16 students from Honiton Community College have raised £157.25 for Honiton charity Operation Rudolph.
Students presented the money raised to Sharon Thorne from Honiton’s Operation Rudolph yesterday (January 22) which will continue to help people from young to old in our community.
The £157.25 was raised by students in the last week of term by running an evening of Christmas-themed quizzes, bingo, a raffle and karaoke.
Sharon thanked the students for all of their efforts and that this would make a great difference to next year’s celebrations to those in need in the community and in particular that this money would help equip the new kitchen used to provide the Christmas Meals in the Community Use Building.
Selena Burroughs, Director of Post 16 also thanked the students for their continued support and awareness raising for local community projects.
