Chloe Wade is coming to Honiton as part of her UK tour inspired by a historic Hollywood 'scandal'.

The 'As SHE Likes' theatre show will play at The Beehive on March 1 at 7.30pm.

It comes nearly 90 years after the attack of 20-year-old dancer, Patricia Douglas, at an MGM party in 1937.

Despite filing charges, they were swiftly dismissed and silenced.

Ms Wade's show will attempt to discuss sexism and exploitation in Hollywood today.

The play combines different forms of performances, exposing the reality behind the glamour by making use of live theatre and filmed footage.

Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, who is the Olivier winning playwright supporting this production, said: "Incredibly powerful and also really funny.

"This is the #MeToo play I want to see, it has given me hope."

The production is supported by several organisations, including Solace Women’s Aid, LGBTQ+ charity Out In The Bay and the University of Greenwich.

A select number of venues will also hold Empowerment Workshops, aimed at empowering women through a fusion of mental health, drag and comedy techniques.

Chloe Wade Productions' As SHE Likes It got underway in January.

Tickets for the Honiton show are priced at £13 and are available via The Beehive website - beehivehoniton.co.uk - or by contacting the box office.
