A garden within a summer house in Smallridge accidentally caught fire, causing damage.
Fire control were alerted to the blaze by a member of the public about the fire in their house, quickly dispatching appliances from both Axminster and Chard Fire Station.
Confirming a small fire within the building upon arrival, the team used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Crew members said "good steady progress" was made to remove charred timber from inside the building using small tools.
The fire caused around 30 per cent fire damage and 10 per cent smoke damage.
