Jurassic Discovery in Seaton is to open its new Soft Play and Cafe next Friday, March 29.

The attraction, formerly Seaton Jurassic, was taken over by Seaton Tramway after a period of closure when the original operator, Devon Wildlife Trust, pulled out in 2021. The venue is owned by East Devon District Council, which transferred it to Seaton Tramway so that it could reopen as a visitor attraction.

The opening of the cafe and children's play area is the first phase of the new-look venue. This summer Jurassic Discovery will launch a Walk with Dinosaurs exhibition, telling the story of the Jurassic Coast through an interactive experience featuring lifelike animatronic models of dinosaurs.

In the meantime the venue will be offering four two-hour sessions for children in the dinosaur-themed soft play area every day between 9.30am and 5.30pm. Tickets can be booked for children aged up to 12. Admission is free for children aged under two and adults. While children are playing, adults can relax in the cafe.
