A lot of floats from Honiton and Axminster joined the Sidmouth Carnival on Saturday (September 28).
Axminster Majorettes and Majorettes from Lyme Regis joined the Honiton Royalty and Honiton Carnival and Honiton Young Farmers float in Sidmouth.
Also the HM Coastguard based in Seaton.
Sidmouth Carnival took over the streets of Sidmouth last night (Saturday, September 28), filling the town with colour, music and lights.
Hundreds lined the streets around the procession when it got dark to catch a glimpse at the illuminated carnival making its way through the town.
The parade set off from Woolbrook Road at 7:30pm and the procession made its way down into town, ending on the seafront.
A fun fair was also set up on The Ham, thanks to Rowlands Fair, featuring two Twister rides and Dodgems and a trampoline for the little ones.
The procession included the HM Coastguard, Sidmouth Fire Station, Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat, Exeter Starlites Cheerleading Group, Lyme Regis Majorettes, Axminster Majorettes, Honiton Twirlstars, Ottery St Mary's Carnival Royalty, Okehampton Carnival Royalty, Budleigh Carnival Club, Sid Vale Carnival Club, Honiton Young Farmers Club, Gliddons Bright Sparks.
Other carnival royalties were there, including Budleigh and Ottery.
Devon and Cornwall 4X4 Response, were in charge of closing the roads and keeping crowds safe.
The big carnival floats included Bugsy Malone, (Sid Vale Carnival Club), a shower scene courtesy of Honiton Young Famers and the home carnival float, Sid Vale which had the greatest showman theme.
