On behalf of Seaton Christian Aid Committee, I am delighted to inform your readers that during Christian Aid Week in May, with the house to house collection and other events, Seaton residents with their usual generosity raised the grand sum of over £4,000. Despite the need to tighten our belts because of the growing cost of living, people saw the need of their much poorer neighbours in the Third World.I would like to thank, most warmly, the hardworking collectors, the counters and, most of all, the residents of Seaton who rose to the challenge of helping the poorest of the poor.
