Firefighters rescue sheep. The animals were uninjured.

A FIRE crew from Ottery St Mary travelled to Cullompton to rescue three sheep from a ditch.

The animals were reported to be stuck on land at St Andrew’s Industrial Estate at around 2.12pm yesterday (Monday).

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said; “The sheep were released using a short extension ladder and manpower, and were not injured.”
