With reference to the story in last week's paper about the laundry on Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton. I am also a resident of Cherry Close and I understand compl-etely what Mrs Scott is saying - the constant droning of machinery is intolerable, especially late at night. It was bad enough last year when the complaints were originally highlighted. Now all we hear, sometimes for over 17 hours-a-day, is the noise of machinery droning on and on. It's fine for councillors to say it brings employment to Honiton but, as far as I can tell, the majority of people employed are not Honiton residents, but immigrant workers who may be happy to work unsociable hours, including Easter Sunday! I am not adverse to who is employed, but rather the hours they are at present working, and the nuisance it is causing residents like myselfMrs D WoodCherry CloseHoniton
