A 15-year-old is the toast of Honiton Community College today after gaining an A grade in AS electronics.
David Young is on the college's accelerated learning programme and his results, announced today, were highlighted in a statement issued to the Herald.
Caroline Hole, Tom Clemo, Rachel Olive, Leo Jefferson, Alex Beighton, Elisa Cunningham and Ruth Parker's A-level results (yet to be made public) were described as "exceptional".
Caroline, Leo and alex are to study economics at universities in ~Exeter, Cardiff and Loughborough.
Rachel is to study ancient history at Cardiff and Elisa is to embark on a foundation degree at Falmouth College with the intention of continuing in fine art.
Ruth will read youth and community studies at the University of Winchester.
Staff said the overall A-level results at the college had been "good".
A college spokesperson said in a statement: "Once again, we are delighted that our students have achieved a good set of results.
"This success reflects the hard work and commitment of the students and the continuous support given by the staff at the college."
First year A-level students had also bee successful.
Picked out for specific praise were Jack Dixon, Jessica Evans, Daniel Paterson, Philippa Hodgson and Kerri-Ann Upham.
