ShelterBox presentation beamed into main hall via space.

A riveting talk by a Cornish Rotarian on the history of ShelterBox was a real eye-opener for U3A members who attended at meeting at the Royal British Legion Club in Honiton.

The talk was accompanied by a presentation, transmitted into space and via Goonhilly Down to the main hall of the Legion.

Since its inception in 2000, over 130,000 ShelterBoxes have been distributed to literally dozens of disaster zones worldwide. A collection raised over £290 – enough to buy half a ShelterBox!
