The incident happened shortly before 2.30pm between Smiter’s Pit Lane / Pacehayne Lane in Shute and Wilmington Lane,

An A-road between Honiton and Axminster is now clear following a collision between three vehicles.

The incident, which happened shortly before 2.30pm between Smiter’s Pit Lane / Pacehayne Lane in Shute and Wilmington Lane, was causing ‘very slow traffic’.

The incident has since been cleared by emergency services.

It is the second big collision on an A-road in East Devon in less than 24 hours.

Yesterday, three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A30 near Fenny Bridges, causing one lane to be closed while the road was cleared of debris.
