The 36-hour closure of the Honiton to Axminster road has been postponed until Sunday, May 27
The 36-hour closure of the A35 between Axminster and Honiton - due to begin today (Monday May 14) - has been postponed.
The highway was to have shut at 8pm tonight, for resurfacing work, and reopen on Wednesday at 6am.
But because of the recent appalling weather the total closure will not now begin until 8pm on Sunday, May 27, and continue until 6am on Tuesday, May 29.
An environment agency spokesman said these dates were also subject to the weather conditions. Signs confirming the times will be erected at both ends of the route.
