Flood victims urged to tell their stories

VICTIMS of recent flooding in Uplyme are being asked to put their experiences down on paper.

Parish Clerk Lois Wakeman is gathering evidence to present to the relevant authorities.

She said: “The Council is trying to arrange a meeting with Devon Highways, the Environment Agency, and affected residents, to see what can be done to alleviate the drainage problems.

“There is unlikely to be money for a proper flood relief scheme, but other smaller projects might be possible.”

Write to Mrs Wakeman at Horseman’s Hill Barn, Gore Lane, Uplyme, Lyme Regis, DT7 3RJ or e mail her at clerk@uplymeparishcouncil.org
