Action is not about Tesco
May I make it totally clear that Seaton Town Council s decision to ask for call in of the two planning applications which were approved for the majority of the Seaton regeneration area is not about which supermarket may be on the site.
May I make it totally clear that Seaton Town Council's decision to ask for call in of the two planning applications which were approved for the majority of the Seaton regeneration area is not about which supermarket may be on the site.
Indeed, to paraphrase East Devon District Council, it is about the "south store" and its adjacent development.
We are seeking reassurance that all proper procedures have been followed - particularly regarding infill - and that important matters of local, regional or national importance have not been overlooked.
If they have - or the Secretary of State decides that the question of infill by road or sea must be decided before work can start - then he will order further investigations.
