Two air cadets from Honiton are to join the National Air Cadet Marching Band in Paris.

Young air cadets from Honiton will be marching to the beat after being selected to take part in a European tour in Paris.

Flight Sergeant Jake Rosen and Sergeant Jonny Cooper, who are members of the 1064 Air Training Corps in Honiton, will be joining 48 other cadets from across the country to perform in the European tour with the National Air Cadet Marching Band.

The band will be entertaining audiences at Disneyland Paris, the Eiffel Tower and in the business district of the city La Defense.

Jake, who is the Senior Drum Major for the Corps, said: “It is a fantastic opportunity on top of the other amazing things Air Cadets offers.”

Both of the cadets are 17 and currently attend The King’s School.

Cornet player Jonny added: “It will be my first national march. I am really happy to have been selected and it should be a really good experience.”

Membership is open to young people aged 13 to 18.
