A new footpath to Upottery Manor Room is to be created thanks to �4,050 given by Devon County Council from funds allocated from the sale of Exeter International Airport.

A new footpath to Upottery Manor Room is to be created - thanks to �4,050 given by Devon County Council from funds allocated from the sale of Exeter International Airport.The money has been allocated by Honiton St Paul's county councillor Roger Boote from his local projects fund.The path will run from the Sidmouth Arms car park to the Manor Room. The money will pay for the purchase of the land and the cost of surfacing.Councillor Boote said: "It is great to be able to contribute to the parish and to see the results as the local people wished."The chairman of Upottery Parish Council, John Cornish, said: "We are very pleased with the award. This will enable the Council to complete an outstanding project to bring the path between the Manor Rooms and the Sidmouth Arms car park up to the requirements of Health and Safety regulations.
