Customers treated to free bacon and sausage sandwiches at official launch.

Crowds turned out for the opening of the new Aldi store in Honiton and were treated to free bacon and sausage sandwiches.

The store at Turks Head Corner was officially opened last Thursday by Aldi advert celebrities and local farmers Arnold Dare and Matt Williams, along with store manager David Templar.

The free bacon and sausage sandwiches were prepared by Ladies in Pigs, who travel the UK to promote Red Tractor meats.

To continue launch celebrations the new supermarket will be providing a BBQ at Honiton Show, on Thursday August 1, cooking specially selected burgers and sausages.

Store Manager David Templar said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere down at the store this morning; it was amazing to see so many people here for our opening event.

“My team and I are happy to introduce shoppers to Aldi’s great range of products and I look forward to welcoming many more customers to our store over the coming months.”
