Have we become hypercritical and blinded by the plans now submitted by Tesco in Honiton? The application for an Aldi will also cause major traffic congestion. The slip road from the A30 is often at a standstill due to the amount of traffic. I believe in competition and another supermarket is welcome in the town. I see that there are plans on display in the council office in New Street, but I have only read one letter about Aldi. It seems we are only interested in stopping a super giant and have not considered the implications that Aldi will have on our already stretched town road network.Ellen DownBy email
