ALDI Stores Limited has submitted new plans for a store in Honiton - after listening to the views of local residents and the town council.

ALDI Stores Limited has submitted new plans for a store in Honiton - after listening to the views of local residents and the town council.The plans, which have been lodged with East Devon District Council, propose a discount food store on a site currently occupied by Slades Countrywise, in Exeter Road.In a statement to the Herald, Aldi said: "The plans have been changed, in response to comments following proposals submitted to the district council last year."Aldi is committed to developing a store in Honiton, according to the supermarket chain's property director, Phillip Warner.He told the Herald Aldi has listened to comments about the store's previous proposals, adding: "We are delighted to submit a new scheme that would provide residents with extra choice when it comes to their weekly shop."Aldi is determined to be part of an important road improvement scheme at Turks Head.Earlier this year, agents working for Aldi delivered a presentation to Honiton Town Council.
