A Honiton mum has won a prestigious award for her hard work in her first year as a franchisee.

Alice Simpson, of Dowell Street, won an award for inspiring 1,000 children at the Creation Station Inspiring Imaginations conference, which is held annually in Birmingham, attracting franchisees from around the UK.

The Creation Station provides arts and crafts classes and parties for children.

Alice said “I am so delighted with this award.

“I have been running my business for a year and it is the best job I have ever had.

“The families that come to the classes make them so special, working with children and their parents and carers is fantastically rewarding - I look forward to every class.

“Each child is creative in their own way and watching them grow and develop is endlessly interesting. I would like to thank all the parents and carers who have brought their children to classes and parties and have enjoyed making and creating with me.”

Alice’s classes are held weekly at Honiton Youth Centre and Ocean in Exmouth.
