Society members are whisked back in time aboard the Orion Pullman carriage

Members of the Red Hat Society relived the golden age of rail travel when they visited Pecorama at Beer recently.

The group of 18 ladies, from the Lyme Regis based organisation, enjoyed high tea in the Orion Pullman Carriage, which is run as a permanent restaurant at the popular tourist attraction.

And it was 'hats off' to the catering team.

One happy diner said: "We boarded the train and were whisked back in time. The tables were laid up with crisp white tablecloths and lovely china. We had booked a high afternoon tea which consisted of three tier plate stands full of lovely little savouries and then three tier plate stands full of the most delicious scones, cake and little petit fours.

"Very generous portions for everyone and ever-flowing tea and coffee too! We would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely use it again! Thanks to all their team."

The Orion Pullman Carriage is open group celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries or small wedding receptions, call the tourism team for further information or to make a booking on 01297 21542 Pecorama@pecobeer.co.uk
