Seaton Tramway is offering rides to visit Father Christmas in his Colyton grotto

Seaton Tramway is running its own “Polar Express” next month – offering to take children and grown-ups to see Father Christmas.

Children will ride in one of enclosed decorated tramcars, to visit Santa’s grotto at Colyton station.

They can hand him their present list and receive a gift while enjoying some fun entertainment during their trip.

For the grown-up there will be the opportunity to sample some homemade, yuletide fare such as mince pies and mulled wine on offer at the Tramstop Café.

There are only a limited number of seats on the single deck tramcars to see Santa, so to avoid disappointment, people are advised to book by telephoning 01297 20375.

The Santa tram runs from Seaton terminus on December 15, 21, 22, 23 and 24 December.

Tickets cost £10, accompanying children from three to 15 years £8 and children under three years £4. The fare includes the return tram ride, a special present from Santa for children and festive entertainment.

* All tickets and Loyalty Cards can be purchased at the Seaton Terminus and Colyton Station ticket offices or on line at:
