All Saints Primary School PTFA collared more than £300 when it staged its first dog show.

The day started with registration followed by a programme of fun and games.

There were 10 dog show categories, including best trick, waggiest tail and naughtiest dog.

Contestants finishing in the first three places were awarded rosettes kindly donated by Coombefield Veterinary Hospital, in Axminster

Adults and children were also catered for with many activities on offer, including face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, cakes, ice-creams, barbecue, along with colouring and ‘Spot the Dog’ competitions.

All the money raised from the day will help to pay for activities and equipment for the pupils.

A spokesman for All Saints Primary School PTFA said they wanted to thank all the parents, teachers and local helpers who contributed to a successful event.

They also thanked Tesco, Pets At Home, Mole Avon, Debonair Dogs, Heather the Dog Groomer, Happy Spaniels, Natures Bowl, Pets Pantry, Coombefield Vets and Kong Veterinary Products for kindly sponsoring each category and providing the prizes.
