‘Altercation’ victim dies

Police dismiss rumours of shooting.
A man airlifted to hospital following an altercation earlier today has died, it has been revealed.
The man, in his 60s, was involved in an incident in Bridgwater at around 11am. Residents said they believed he was from the Honiton area.
Police have moved to dismiss rumours of a shooting.
Avon and Somerset Police, via their @ASPolice Twitter page, said: “There has NOT been a shooting in Bridgwater.
