Garden project is giving people confidence and the chance to learn new skills.
An innovative project, which for the past decade has been helping people recovering from mental health problems gain confidence and learn new skills, is to showcase its work during two open days in Honiton.
Side By Side, which encourages volunteers to work as part of team and make new friends, focuses on gardening and outdoor crafts.
It has a garden at Offwell, which has flourished in a supported setting and is helping people to be less reliant on health services.
Service users have benefited by moving on to educational courses and paid employment.
Sessions take place from Monday to Thursday and spaces are available on all days for newcomers.
You can find out more about the Side By Side project by visiting The King’s Centre (down the alleyway opposite Honiton police station) on either April 10 or May 15, from 10am to 3pm.
