Antiques valuation day to help sick children in Lyme Regis

PUBLISHED: 18:30 06 February 2015

An antiques valuation day is being organised at Lyme Regis later this month in aid of the children’s charity Action Medical Research.

Duke’s Auctioneers will stage the event, on Wednesday, February 18, at the resort’s Alexandra Hotel, from 10.30am until 1pm.

It will provide an opportunity to have any items valued from silver and jewellery through to clocks, ceramics and even small items of furniture.

A spokesman for Duke’s said: “The fundraising event has been organised by volunteers for Action Medical Research, a charity which Duke’s is delighted to support.”

The charity will charge £2 for each item valued.

There will be the chance to enjoy a tea, coffee and biscuits in the breakfast room of the hotel with outstanding views towards the Cobb.

A Duke’s valuer will also be in the Lyme Regis area on the afternoon of February 18.

They will be happy to make house visits for larger items to be valued.

For more information or to arrange a valuation, please contact Duke’s on 01305 265080 or email
