Appeal for return of carnival radio

Dropped item of equipment was on loan.
A two-way communications radio, dropped by a director of Honiton and District Carnival in High Street after last Saturday’s procession, was picked up by a woman who ran off with it - according to witnesses.
Now the carnival committee is appealing for the radio to be returned.
It was loaned to the committee by Ash Safety and will have to be paid for, if it is not found.
Carnival chairman Bill Austin said: “If we have got to pay £150 to replace the radio, that’s £150 not going to charity.
“It is depriving charity of much-needed cash.”
Anybody who finds the radio is asked to hand it in at either Honiton Police Station or Honiton Tourist Information Centre.
