Plans have been submitted to build two homes in Honiton on a site formerly occupied by garages.

Mr Richard Isaac wants to build the new houses in Chapel Street on land which forms part of a garden to another home.

In his application, Mr Isaac said: “The dwellings have been postitioned and designed to complement the neighbouring apartments whilst having a lower ridge line towards the cottages to the east of the site.

“The dwelling would each then benefit from a garden accessed by a side pathway.

“This gives the occupiers excellent amenities in the heart of the vibrant town.”

According the application, the designs would have ‘very little impact’ on neighbours and ‘produce no overlooking of gardens’.

East Devon planners will determine the scheme’s fate at a future meeting.
