HISTORIANS may want to carry out an archaeological dig in King Street, Honiton, before a property owner adds two extensions.Honiton Town Council's planning committee heard last week that the Devon Archaeology Service is interested in land at 27 King Street.Mr D Armstrong is seeking planning consent from East Devon District Council to erect a two storey extension to the rear of the premises and a canopy to the front.Councillors have recommended his proposal for approval - so long as the archaeological dig takes place, if requested.
