From my bedroom window at night, I see a ribbon of light stretching towards Raymonds Hill on the A35, near Axminster - still blazing away at 5am. Although this is three miles away, I can see them clearly. Why does this road have to be illuminated at night by street lights when we already have cars with powerful headlights? It is not a built-up area so what is the point of them? In my view, an awful waste of electricity.Perhaps someone can 'enlighten' me.M NewberySouth Common All Saints
