Armed robbery at East Devon supermarket
POLICE were called to Tesco Express, in Rolle Street, Exmouth, at around 9pm on Tuesday night after reports of a man with a firearm.
POLICE were called to Tesco Express, in Rolle Street, Exmouth, at around 9pm on Tuesday night after reports of a man with a firearm.
Members of the public alerted officers that a man had demanded cash from inside the store before fleeing.
No weapon was discharged during the incident and no one was injured, officers said.
Around �300 was stolen during the incident.
The police are keen to hear from anyone in the store who witnessed the incident.

* A 20 year old man from Exmouth was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and is currently in police custody.
