EMERGENCY services were called to Luppitt Common late on Sunday night after a van was deliberately set on fire.
The vehicle was found in a field and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said it was "well alight". One fire appliance from Honiton was sent to tackle the blaze, which is being treated as arson.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to put out the fire.
